Jason Potter
Co-Founder, HingeLock®
Jason Potter is the Co-Founder of HingeLock, a product innovation company creating practical tools and operational solutions for businesses and the people who keep them running. Beginning with its growing line of door-management products, HingeLock develops solutions for hotels, resorts, commercial buildings, facility teams, housekeeping departments, maintenance professionals, contractors, retailers, and other organizations seeking better ways to handle everyday operational challenges.
Jason brings more than 20 years of experience in business ownership, sales, marketing, negotiation, and relationship development. He is also the Owner and Broker-in-Charge of Grand Strand Coastal Realty, an independent real estate brokerage serving the greater Myrtle Beach area.
At HingeLock, Jason leads commercial strategy, business development, brand growth, and customer partnerships. Working alongside Co-Founder and inventor Luke Loeber, he is focused on identifying practical needs, developing thoughtful solutions, and bringing simple, durable, and effective products to market across a wide range of industries.
Jason’s experience building long-term client relationships and growing an independent business now helps guide HingeLock as the company expands its product portfolio and develops relationships throughout hospitality, commercial facilities, property operations, maintenance, retail, construction, and other professional markets.
Outside of business, Jason is a husband to Julia and a proud father of two. Family remains at the center of his life and is a major source of his motivation to build businesses with lasting value. An avid golfer and tennis player, Jason brings the same competitive drive, discipline, and determination to his work and the businesses he helps build. He also enjoys traveling with his family and is passionate about mentorship, supporting nonprofit organizations, and giving back to the community that has provided so many opportunities for him and his family.
Luke Loeber
Co-Founder, HingeLock®
Luke Loeber is the Co-Founder and driving force behind HingeLock®'s product innovation and development. With a background in hospitality, mechanical engineering, and hands-on product development, Luke brings a practical, problem-solving approach to designing and creating tools that address real-world challenges. As the inventor behind HingeLock®'s products, he leads the development of solutions built around the needs of the people who use them.
The idea for HingeLock® began while Luke was working as a bellman, where holding doors open was a routine part of his daily responsibilities. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional doorstops, he began exploring a better way to keep doors open without relying on a conventional floor wedge. Drawing on his mechanical engineering background and experience with 3D printing, Luke developed the original product through hands-on experimentation, prototyping, and testing. What started as a solution to a problem he experienced firsthand eventually became the HingeLock® Mini and the foundation of HingeLock®.
At HingeLock®, Luke leads the company's product design, development, testing, and manufacturing operations. He oversees the process of transforming ideas into functional products, from initial concepts and prototypes through production and continued refinement. His approach to product development is driven by a genuine enjoyment of fixing problems and providing solutions that actually work.
Working alongside Co-Founder Jason Potter, Luke combines his product development expertise with Jason's business and commercial experience to help bring HingeLock® products to customers across hospitality, commercial facilities, property operations, and other professional markets. Together, they share a commitment to identifying everyday challenges and developing thoughtful, practical solutions that make work easier.
Outside of HingeLock®, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing, and pursuing his passion for cars. As a car enthusiast, his appreciation for mechanical design and how things work extends beyond his professional life. Whether developing a new product or working on a personal project, Luke enjoys the process of identifying a problem, finding a solution, and making something work better.
